Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, i say, on the Lord.

If we can wait on the Lord he will show us his goodness. It can be so hard to wait we often think we need things right now. If we just sit back and wait for the Lord to work his plan things will work out so much better for us.
I know how difficult it can be to wait. I don't have a lot of patience and i often times will think i can do things on my own without having to wait for God. But in the end it really never works out for me so I have decided to work on my patience and wait on the Lord.

Red Sea rules
This was given to my mother and I when we first moved. It got misplaced when I got married and moved and i found it again so i thought I would share it.
THE RED SEA RULES
Rule 1: Realize that God means for you to be where you are.
Rule 2: Be more concerned for God's glory then for your relief
Rule 3:Acknowledge your enemy, but keep your eyes on the Lord
Rule 4:Pray!
Rule 5: Stay calm and confident, and give god time to work.
Rule 6: When unsure just take the next logical step by faith
Rule 7: Envision God's enveloping presents
Rule 8: Trust God to deliver in his own unique way
Rule 9: View your current crisis as a faith builder for the future
Rule 10: Don't forget to praise Him!

new year 2019

prayer
I Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
For a lot of Christians prayer has become a routine. We are taught as little children to say our prayers before bed and to give thanks at meal times. It becomes a routine that we carry with us into adult hood. Some people never grow out of a child's prayer.
The prays become stale and devoid of meaning. Eventually God send as a wake up call by throwing a wrench in a perfect world. someone gets sick or hurt or even dies, and we find ourselves running to God in prayer. Which is what he wants.
God doesn't just want us to come to him in pray when our lives are falling apart. He wants us to pray to him always. No matter how small our problem may be he wants us to pray to him about it. Even if we have no problem at all God still wants to hear our prays.
Don't let your prays became stagnant pour your heart out to Jesus no matter how silly it may seem that;s what he wants, for us to pray without ceasing and with meaning!

Stop and smell the Roses
I know it's been a while since i posted anything. I have just stayed so busy lately, it seems that life goes by faster and faster. I just realized the other day that I hadn't posted anything all year!! I keep thinking that I'll do it later, but there never seems to be any time.
We get so caught up in everything we have to do in a day that we end up letting life pass us by. I think it's time we slow down a little bit and enjoy this world that God created for us. Take your kids to the park. Read a book. Just sit down and enjoy the beautiful weather. Thank God for creating such a wonderful place for us to enjoy.

Tis the season
TIS THE SEASON
For unto you is born this day in the city of david a sviour who is christ the lord

It seems like christmas comes earlier every year. we hadnt even made it past thanksgiving before there was christmas decorations up in the stores. And everyone was talking about black friday and cyber monday deals. We get so caught up with the presents , decorations and christmas dinner. We forgot what christmas is really about.
Christmas is about the birth of our saviour,its about followship with friends and family not about who spent the most on presents or who cooked the best food.
This year lets put Christ back in Christmas!
